About Me I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a private therapy practice in Beverly, MA. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College, and have been a practicing psychotherapist since 2001. I have worked in community mental health, and have worked as a therapist in private practice since 2004. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
My Approach to Therapy All of my clients can expect to experience a high level of commitment and professionalism in our work together, while also experiencing me as down to earth and having a sense of humor. I value and pay close attention to the details of my relationships with my clients. Additionally, I am extremely conscientious about the timing/scheduling of my appointments so as to avoid clients having to wait for their appointment to start.
My theoretical approach is to integrate the psychological theories that I feel will be most helpful to each individual client. I often utilize strengths-based, psychodynamic, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-informed practices. I work to assist my clients in recognizing and utilizing their personal strengths and resilience to help them work through the challenges they are facing.
I provide individual counseling for adults, 18-75 years old. Additionally, I have a specialty in working with young adults ages 18-26, and also have extensive experience with helping women who are feeling anxious and overwhelmed. My clients most often come from Danvers, Salem, Marblehead, Peabody, Hamilton, Wenham, Topsfield, Ipswich, Manchester, Rockport, Gloucester, and Lynnfield.
