About Me I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a private therapy practice in Beverly, MA. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College, and have been a practicing psychotherapist since 2001. I have worked in community mental health, and have worked as a therapist in private practice since 2004. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
My Approach to Therapy All of my clients can expect to experience a high level of commitment and professionalism in our work together, while also experiencing me as down to earth and having a sense of humor. I value and pay close attention to the details of my relationships with my clients. Additionally, I am extremely conscientious about the timing/scheduling of my appointments so as to avoid clients having to wait for their appointment to start.
My theoretical approach is to integrate the psychological theories that I feel will be most helpful to each individual client. I often utilize strengths-based, psychodynamic, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-informed practices. I work to assist my clients in recognizing and utilizing their personal strengths and resilience to help them work through the challenges they are facing.
I provide individual counseling for adults, 18-75 years old. Additionally, I have a specialty in working with young adults ages 18-26, and also have extensive experience with helping women who are feeling anxious and overwhelmed. My clients most often come from Danvers, Salem, Hamilton, Wenham, Ipswich, Rockport, Gloucester, Lynnfield, and Peabody.
