About Me I am a licensed psychotherapist with a private therapy practice in Beverly, MA with over 20 years of counseling experience. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Simmons University.
Approach to Therapy I provide individual counseling for highly motivated adults ages 21-75. My clients include medical professionals, teachers, mental health professionals, and grad students. I have extensive experience with helping women and mothers who are feeling anxious and overwhelmed. I also do a lot of work with Millennial and Gen Z clients who are trying to figure out all of the life changes that happen during your 20s and 30s. The majority of my clients live North of Boston, however telehealth video can be provided to clients who live anywhere in Massachusetts.
All of my clients can expect a high level of commitment and professionalism in our work together, while also experiencing me as down to earth and having a sense of humor. I value and pay close attention to the details of my working relationship with my clients. My clients know that I sincerely care about them. Additionally, I am extremely conscientious about starting appointments on time to avoid clients having to wait for their appointment to begin.
I typically use a blend of strenghts-based, CBT, insight-oriented, interpersonal and mindfulness practices. Increasing awareness of how social justice issues, world events (such as the COVID-19 pandemic) and how someone's physical environment can effect mental health is also and important part of my approach to therapy.
Common Issues I Have Worked With: Anxiety/Worrying, Perfectionism, Stress, ADHD, Relationships issues, Family/Friend communication issues, Parenting difficulties, Guilt/Shame, Depression, Underachievement, Work stress
Clients who come for in-person sessions most often come from Danvers, Salem, Marblehead, Peabody, Hamilton, Wenham, Topsfield, Ipswich, Manchester, Rockport, Gloucester, and Lynnfield.
